Welcome! My name is Grace Borgfjord, and I am a Democrat running for the office of Kalamazoo County Treasurer. The Treasurer collects property taxes and is director of the Land Bank, which re-develops residential and commercial properties in the County. I currently serve on the Mattawan School Board and on the Oshtemo Township Board of Trustees. As 29-year residents of Kalamazoo County, my husband and I raised three children here and have a successful family business. I am an accountant at Consumers Credit Union. As Treasurer, I will work hard for all the residents of Kalamazoo County. I am especially interested in expanding the role the Land Bank can play in providing housing and I will encourage re-development of housing that is affordable for hard-working families in Kalamazoo County. I will award all contracts fairly and openly and hire local people and firms first.
